Why a Store in a Traveling Market Scene?

From the start, Before & Crafter LLC has been about building something bigger than a market—it’s about strengthening small businesses across Southwest Kansas. Our vendor events proved what this community is capable of. So we asked the next question: why should it only happen a few times a year? Curated Vendor Experience

Our in-store booths are built differently than our vendor markets—this is a curated, year-round shopping experience designed to highlight quality, creativity, and community. Located on Main Street in Ulysses, our storefront gives vendors consistent exposure and a place to grow without the overhead of owning and operating their own building.

This is not a garage sale environment. Each vendor is thoughtfully selected to create a balanced and inviting space for customers. Our goal is to build a collection of vendors that complement one another while offering a variety of high-quality goods.

We are intentionally building a well-rounded in-store experience and are currently seeking vendors who offer:

• Antiques & vintage items

• Home décor, gifts, and quality resale items

• Collectibles, specialty items, and unique finds

Our Approach

We believe a strong store is built through intentional selection—not volume. Each vendor contributes to the overall experience, creating a space customers want to return to again and again. Our focus is on quality, presentation, and a shared commitment to building something meaningful for both vendors and the community.

Vendor FAQs

Booth Options & Monthly Pricing

We offer a range of booth sizes to fit different types of vendors and inventory levels:

• Mini Booth (4’ shelving unit): $30/month

   – Includes a multi-shelf display with space for your business sign above

• Half Booth (5’ x 10’): $40/month

   – Open space to create and design your own setup

• Full Booth (10’ x 10’): $65/month

• Double Booth (20’ x 10’): $120/month

In addition to booth rent, Before & Crafter LLC retains a 15% commission on all items sold, regardless of booth size. This allows us to manage daily operations, sales, and customer service within the store.

How Do I Become a Vendor?

You can apply to become a vendor in one of two ways:

• Stop by the store and fill out an application in person

• Submit an application online

As part of the application, we will ask for:

• The type of products you plan to sell

• Booth size preference

• General setup or display ideas

How Are Vendors Selected?

Our storefront is intentionally curated to provide customers with a diverse and high-quality shopping experience. Because of this, vendor selection is based on:

• Product type and quality

• How your items fit within the current store mix

• Available booth space

To maintain variety, we may delay or decline applications if we already have multiple vendors offering similar items. All selections are made at the discretion of store ownership with the goal of creating a balanced and successful environment for everyone involved.

Vendor Expectations & Payouts

Before final approval, all vendors will receive a full overview of booth expectations, including display standards, restocking, and general responsibilities.

A detailed vendor agreement will outline:

• Store policies and expectations

• Sales tracking and reporting

• How and when vendors receive their earnings

Our goal is to keep the process straightforward, transparent, and beneficial for both vendors and customers.
